Adopt-a-Neutral Ground Program
  • community organizations, businesses and private citizens  “adopt” a
    park, playground, or a portion of neutral ground

Adoption requires:
picking up litter and cutting grass at least once a month

Other options include weeding and watering plant materials or other
maintenance services, as agreed upon by the Partner and the City of New
Orleans’ Department of Parks and Parkways.  Planting of trees or flowers
on the neutral grounds requires PRIOR approval from the city.

Our Neutral Ground Partners
are making a difference!  
 1.  contact Parkway Partners to find out if the area you are interested in is availalbe

2.  submit an Adoption Agreement committing for at least one year and                      
     agreeing to follow the specific planting requirements from the Department of
    Parks &  Parkways

3.  Parkway Partners submits the form to the Department of Parks and Parkways, lets
     you know when it is approved and recognizes you with a sign.
